Yeah! They are home safe! My husband and son made it home this afternoon, a bit tired, somewhat cranky, but really not to bad. They were filled with funny stories of this person and that. My son went to sleep in less than 5 minutes and my husband has been "napping" on the couch for the last hour. We are so thankful they're home!!
Andrew was glad to see Daddy, and Brett was too. Brett, however, was trying to delay seeing his brother because he knew he had confiscated Colton's new book and had been reading it while Colton was gone. This was a problem...you see Colton has "rules" as to how you read HIS books and there are only two...#1, you must use a book mark and NEVER "dog ear" pages and you never put the book down open to the page you're on so it's open but flat, and #2, you must NEVER read one of his books in the bathroom.
They are all three back in place this evening, a little arguing, lots of laughs, calling who gets the hall shower first/last, and getting to bed with prayers and songs...yep, it's good to have all my chicks home in the nest!

- Our family lives a super busy life which includes school, sports, work, church activities, family, friends, etc. Education is very important to us and we invest in the education of our children. I volunteer as the Marketing Representative of our Lutheran (LCMS) elementary school. My "day" job is as Development Officer raising funds for Saint Louis University and I consult with small nonprofits to help them increase their bottom line.
